Candle Safety Pictograms

Based on the UK and EU EN15494 Product Safety label standards, candles must include several pictograms to guide customers in the safe usage of the product and to caution against potential hazards associated with misuse.

Decoding Pictograms:

WARNING TRIANGLE -This triangle visually indicates a potential hazard associated with the product.

There are three mandatory pictograms:

NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED - If you're stepping out briefly or leaving the room, make sure to put out the flame. Let's avoid any unexpected fireworks!

BURN CANDLES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS - Store your candles on a high shelf or securely locked away when not in use. Wagging tails and flailing arms could easily turn your candle into a potential accident!

DO NOT BURN THE CANDLE ON OR NEAR ANYTHING THAT CAN CATCH FIRE - Keep your candles away from the flammable items in your home –  beds, curtains, carpets.

Other optional pictograms:

KEEP CANDLES A SET DISTANCE APART - This pictogram advises to maintain a specific distance between candles to ensure even and safe burning.

MAKE SURE THE WICK IS TRIMMED TO 5MM BEFORE LIGHTING - Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn to avoid mushrooming and ensure a smooth, soot-free experience.
